Humanism is not a set of doctrines - it's an attitude to life, centred on mankind and human interests.

This life is the only one we know and it is important to make it a good one. It is possible to live a morally good life without faith in the supernatural, to make the best possible use of our lives, to make world a better place to live in, now and for future generations too

We are a small, friendly Group holding monthly meetings at 7.45pm, on the third Sunday in the month, in members' homes. Non-members are welcome. Our topics range through  politics, ethics, philosophy, local, national and international affairs and social issues from a humanist and secular perspective.

We also have lighter topics and enjoyable social events such as a summer pub lunch and a Winter Solstice party.

The programme of meetings for next six months can be obtained by clicking on the link above. For further information please email

Newsletters are published every two months and can be viewed by clicking the link above.
